Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Buah Pare (Momordica charantia L.) Terhadap Bakteri Vibrio cholerae dan Bacillus cereus

Buah pare (Momordica charantia L.) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki bau khas dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai sayuran dan untuk pengobatan tradisional seperti batuk berdahak disentri. kandungan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tannin, triterpenoid dapat aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan antibakteri berdasarkan diameter zona hambat ekstrak buah terhadap Vibrio cholerae Bacillus cereus. dikeringkan lalu di maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96% dilanjutkan uji skrinning fitokimia metode disc diffusion konsentrasi 2%, 4%, 8% kontrol positif menggunakan antibiotik kloramfenikol negatif DMSO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bakteri cereus terbesar adalah 8%.Bitter gourd fruit is a plant that has distinctive smell and used by the community as vegetable for traditional medicine such cough with phlegm dysentery. Bitter contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, triterpenoids have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine activity based on of inhibition zone bitter melon extract against was dried then macerated ethanol solvent, followed phytochemical screening tests using method concentrations positive controls chloramphenicol antibiotics DMSO negative control. The results showed had bacteria cereus, concentration largest 8%.
